Last fall, I wrote about a Kickstarter project to develop a new and easy-to-use web design tool called Macaw. Now, the first commercial version of Macaw is a reality.
Macaw is designed to feel like Photoshop as you’re using it, but in the background it creates semantic HTML and “remarkably succinct CSS,” the web design equivalent of having your cake and eating it too.
Other features include a library of reusable components, global styles, remote previews, and the ability optimize your site for different devices.
The app sells for $179 and works on Mac OS X 10.6.8+ and Windows XP and above.
