David BlatnerKeymasterThank you, Tobias!!
David BlatnerKeymaster(Should have added: the ~e code means an ellipsis character)
David BlatnerKeymasterRich, it’s probably helpful to know what Dhafir’s grep code does: Normally, characters inside square brackets mean “or”… like “a period or an exclamation point or a question mark, etc.… But the ^ at the beginning of the set here means “not”! And $ means the end of the paragraph. So this means “not any of those characters at the end of the paragraph.”
Therefore, if you add quote marks to the list, it should work:
[^.!?:"~e]$
David BlatnerKeymasterHere is an article I wrote some time ago about splitting up pages for spiral bound bleed printing:
David BlatnerKeymasterThere are very few fonts that are protected in such a way that Package won’t grab them. It’s possible, but rare. More common is that you’re using Adobe Fonts. Package doesn’t grab those because Adobe figures that if you have a Creative Cloud subscription and your printer has one, then you don’t need to send them… the printer will just sync the fonts on their end.
On the other hand, I virtually never send packaged files to the printer anymore because it’s FAR easier/better/more reliable to just send them a PDF file.
There, too, it’s possible that a font can be protected in such a way that it can’t be embedded in a PDF, but that’s pretty rare.
If you need to, you could conceivably export to PDF and convert the fonts to outlines on the fly:

David BlatnerKeymasterHi James… I reached out to Peter Kahrel, who very kindly wrote up a script that will do what you need! When you select text and run the script, it acts just like the Shift+Option+Command+] shortcut… but it includes the titles/suffixes properly!
You can download it here: https://creativepro.com/downloads/index-topic-from-selected-text.jsx
Here’s how to install scripts, if you need that: https://creativepro.com/how-to-install-a-script-in-indesign-that-you-found-in-a-forum-or-blog-post/
If you have a lot of these to do, you can assign a shortcut to the script: https://creativepro.com/assigning-keyboard-shortcuts-scripts/

andHow to Add Chapter Numbers in a Table of Contents in InDesign
David BlatnerKeymasterThere is a checkbox at the bottom of the Table of Contents dialog box that says “Include Book Documents”. Did you have that on?
Also, the book panel must be visible when you create the TOC. -
