The Future of Architecture and Design Book Publishing
Changes in the book publishing industry is an ongoing and ever-evolving beast, from the way information is presented, to the delivery methods involved. One category of books caught up in the sea change encompasses the architecture and design book publishing world. In May, Designers & Books and The Herb Lubalin Study Center of Design and Typography at Cooper Union in New York, will present a program dealing with the current situation and the future of this specific publishing market.

Taking place at Herb Lubalin Study Center, the “What’s About to Happen in Architecture and Design Book Publishing” event will be held May 14, 2015 and admission is free. The event will start out with a pop-up architecture and design book fair. The featured panel discussion will feature the director of Yale University Press, as well as other editors and publishing executives. A reception will round out the program’s offerings. The panel promises to cover topics dealing with how books in the architecture and design realm come to be, and how the industry is continuing to ride the wave of change. Along the same lines, the Herb Lubalin Study Center will also present “Publishing Design Books in the Age of the Internet” on May 1st.
