P22/IHOF Announce New Releases for November 2005
P22 and the International House Of Fonts announce the release of two newfonts, P22 Yule and P22 Curwen from IHOF font designers, James Grieshaber and Colin Kahn.
James Grieshaber designed P22 Yule, an exotic display font, evocative of the winter holidays. It is inspired by a mélange of ancient inscriptional writing with visual references to Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Mediaeval, and ancient Greek and Roman letterforms. Perfect for your holiday party invitations.

Our second release this month, P22 Curwen, is based on a rare wood type used by the Curwen Press in England in the early 20th Century for poster work. Along with P22 Curwen Poster is a hyper-stylized interpretation called P22 Curwen Maxima designed by IHOF designer Colin Kahn. P22 Curwen Maxima is a post-modern poster type that evokes an organic nature with a novel maximalist framework. The font is reminscent of early phototype display faces. It features capitals buried beneath stylistic wood shavings, complementing the sculpture-like quality of the lowercase. P22 Curwen Maxima is perfect for any project.
