In the past, point-and-shoot digital cameras have produced notoriously noisy photos when used in low-light situations. Yet Luz A. Villa (whose Flickr handle is Flowery *L*u*z*a*) shot this night scene in 2007 with a point-and-shoot Canon PowerShot A430. It just goes to show that a good eye (and maybe a tripod) can trump fancy gear.
