Banking Security Software Conflicts With InDesign
Trusteer Rapport creating issues for InDesign users.
Over the last several weeks we’ve seen several reports in the User to User forums describing issues with InDesign appearing to fail to launch. As it turns out, InDesign does launch and is running in the background but is unsable. The one thing in common with all of the reports was the use of online banking security software, Trusteer Rapport. This is not an InDesign issue per se.
Trusteer Rapport is aware of the problem and is working to resolve it. In the mean time, if you’re affected by this, you can disable Trusteer Rapport before launching InDesign. You do not need to uninstall it.
You can re-enable it as needed. I’ll update this post if more information becomes available.
