Myra Ferguson is a digital media educator, author, Adobe Community Expert, and freelance designer/developer who helps creatives combine design, animation, video, and interactivity to create engaging digital experiences. She teaches design and software applications for Advertising, Public Relations, and Media Design at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she helps students build both technical skills and creative confidence.
As an Adobe Subject Matter Expert, Myra has contributed to a wide range of learning initiatives, including helping develop the Adobe Certified Instructor Exam for Design and Layout, creating video tutorials, architecting skill taxonomies across Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and improving the discoverability of Adobe Learn content. She has authored LinkedIn Skill Assessments and Body of Knowledge documents for Photoshop and Illustrator and contributed to assessments for Animate and After Effects. She regularly shares her expertise with the Adobe community as a speaker and member of the Ask the Experts team at CreativePro Week, Adobe MAX, and Adobe Create Now events.
Myra is the author of How to Cheat in Adobe Animate CC and creates video courses, articles, and tutorials that make advanced techniques approachable for designers at every skill level. She currently develops educational content for CreativePro.
With experience spanning print, interactive design, motion graphics, web development, and digital publishing, Myra helps designers bridge the gap between static layouts and engaging digital experiences. She is especially passionate about interactive publishing and demonstrating how Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Adobe Express, Firefly, and InDesign can work together as a connected ecosystem rather than as standalone applications.
