Special Guests Announced for AppleScript Pro as Early Bird Deadline Nears

Apple’s AppleScript Product Manager, Sal Soghoian, along with a representative of the AppleScript engineering team, will be guest speakers at AppleScript Pro Sessions in Denver June 18-22.
Also presenting will be Gary Cosimini, Business Development Director with Adobe Systems, who will cover InDesign CS3 Server. A representative from Quark will demonstrate QuarkXPress Server 7.
Attendees will be given a pre-release demonstration of FaceSpan 5, the AppleScript authoring application from Late Night Software, publisher of the acclaimed Script Debugger. The new version is a ground-up re-write, and promises to revolutionize the writing of interface-rich AppleScript applications.
As well as an introductory/refresher day on AppleScript generally, the sessions will focus heavily on scriptable applications in Adobe’s CS3 release, especially InDesign. Other sessions will cover FileMaker Pro, BBEdit and OS X, while Matt Neuburg, author of "AppleScript: The Definitive Guide" from O’Reilly and TidBITS Contributing Editor since 1991, will cover Automator and AppleScript Studio.
Early bird rates for the sessions are available through May 10. This will be the 10th session of this unique training event, and numbers are strictly limited. The classes are suited to both beginners and experienced scripters.
"Having Sal Soghoian with us will once again give attendees the opportunity to provide personal feedback," says sessions co-leader Ray Robertson. "We are still finalizing plans for after-hours sessions, but are delighted with what will be able to offer."
"InDesign CS3 has raised the standard for scriptable applications, with major new features requiring us to expand our coverage of it," says co-leader Shane Stanley. "It’s going to be a busy but exciting week."
