WoodWing Announces Support for Adobe CS5
Press Release
WoodWing Software, a leading supplier of innovative cross-media publishing solutions, greeted the launch of Adobe’s Creative Suite 5 with the news that its products will be fully compatible. A beta version of WoodWing’s award-winning Smart Styles CS5 plug-in for Adobe InDesign and InCopy has been already released.
“CS5 is not just an incremental step after CS4; it’s a big leap forward,” said Erik Schut, President of WoodWing Software. “It’s amazing to see what Adobe did to make everyday layout tasks easier and quicker with new features such as grid mode, live distribute, multiple page sizes inside one layout, background PDF export and eliminating the need to switch tools. For our own iPad developments, the built-in support for interactive documents is very exciting, as it gives us a much richer foundation for our iPad Digital Magazine Solution.”
The first WoodWing product already available for CS5 is the renowned Smart Styles efficiency plug-in. A beta release is currently available on WoodWing’s Community Site at https://community.woodwing.net/labs. The final release will be ready at the same time Adobe CS5 ships.
WoodWing is close to the beta stage of CS5 versions of other plug-ins and the Enterprise publishing system, as well. These betas are expected to be released in May.
“Publishers, ad agencies and designers are being overwhelmed by all-new possibilities and technologies,” Schut added. “WoodWing provides them with an integrated and easy-to-use solution that is up-to-date and able to handle any publishing challenge and output device, today.”
