David BlatnerKeymasterI have heard that the HTML panels are pretty tricky and not all things are as obvious as you would expect them to be. That is one of the main topics we’ll be covering at The Creative Developers Summit at pepcon.com this year.
David BlatnerKeymasterHm. What kind of sync related issue? Once you sync the fonts, you should be able to use them, as long as the Creative Cloud app is also running.
But yes, if you no longer subscribe to CC, then you will no longer have access to those fonts. (Another good reason to make a PDF of your document, so you can always at least have that. Typekit fonts are embedded in pdfs.)
David BlatnerKeymasterThey’re hidden pretty well and they cannot be packaged. Adobe does not want you to copy these fonts (for obvious reasons).
David BlatnerKeymasterYou may or may not know there’s an option in the Layer Options dialog box that lets you control whether changes will wipe out the choices there. However, that is always overridden if you edit the PSD file and add or remove layers.
David BlatnerKeymasterTry rebuilding preferences? (See InDesign FAQ in the Resources section if you don’t know how.)
David BlatnerKeymasterMaybe try docking the control panel. Drag it to the top of the screen, until you see a blue highlight bar to dock it.
David BlatnerKeymasterThat is very strange. Is your Control panel docked at the top, or is it floating? (You can grab and move it by dragging the gray bar on the left.)

David BlatnerKeymasterNothing perfect, but a couple of options:
https://creativepro.com/swap-out-placed-pages-with-relink.phpThere is a script mentioned in the comments there, but I can’t find the script anywhere. Hm.
David BlatnerKeymasterSorry, your replies were held for moderation. Not sure why. Sometimes that happens.
David BlatnerKeymasterYes, that happens for me, too. Wow, I don’t remember seeing that before. That is interesting. May be a bug! I don’t see any way around it, except using align to baseline grid.
David BlatnerKeymasterThat looks more like some external plug-in, such as something that shows changes (“black-lining” or “redlining” or “track changes”)
Another idea: Have you tried exporting the file as IDML and then opening that IDML file?
David BlatnerKeymasterTwo questions: Are those red lines along the left side of each column supposed to be there? Or are those part of the highlighting problem?
And, what happens if you choose some text and change the font? Does the highlighting go away? If so, then it could just be “the dreaded pinking” of a wrong font. -
