Updated App Reduces Noise in Digital Photos
Akvis Noise Buster 8.0 is software dedicated to reducing noise in digital photos while maintaining detail. It runs as a standalone app or a Photoshop plug-in on both Mac and Windows and costs $89 for the Business edition (free upgrade for registered owners of pervious versions).
Here’s what’s new in version 8:
* If your computer has a fast video card, Noise Buster can now draw on that to perform its noise removal more quickly.
* You can now process RAW files.
* You can now process batches of photos in the standalone version of the app. (Previously only the Photoshop plug-in had this capability.)
* Smart Blur smoothes out grain and noise without harming outlines and details.
* Don’t like what you see? Use the new History Brush tool to restore only certain areas of the image.
* Edge Intensity bumps up edges and borders more visible for perceived clarity improvements.
A Recent Files list has been added.
