This Week in InDesign Articles, Number 25
If it's all about print and ePublishing, then we'd better start paying attention to what's possible in interactive documents!
As we keep saying around here, it’s not about print or ePublishing anymore; it’s about print and ePublishing. And the cross-media world is changing seemingly daily. It’s fun to try keeping track, though “fun” in the same way as little kids like spinning around and around until they fall down laughing.
Here’s some articles and videos that I’ve been paying attention to recently:
- Are eBooks Dead? Skip Prichard speaks at TOC. Wow.
- Mike Rankin pointed this article out to me, questioning whether eBooks/eMags should capture their audience or let them go.
- Okay, this has nothing to do with InDesign, but Photoshop CS5 will likely have this amazing Content Aware Fill feature. Wow.
- If you haven’t seen this wonderful short movie from Penguin, you need to. Must watch the whole thing to really get it.
- I love these kinds of things: check out these mock-ups of a couple of different interactive magazines on the iPad.
- Will advertising help support publications on the iPad? Certainly seems so.
Fun stuff. Go and enjoy!
