My father always taught me the value of alternative facts (though he called it “imagination”). And a good alternative fact can be sweet solace on a difficult day. But ultimately it’s the real facts that stick… the cream will rise to the top, as they say! So here’s a real fact for you: there’s always more to learn about InDesign! So, with that in mind, here are some resources you might want to check out:

• The terrific Merge TextFrames script has gotten even better!
• Adobe has released a bunch of free magazine templates (via Adobe Stock)
• Want Charts in InDesign? Check out Cacidi Charts CC… public beta until the end of August!
• Have you noticed that Adobe keeps coming up with new mobile apps? Adobe Scan is now out… pretty nifty if you have a Document Cloud or Creative Cloud account!
• How is Adobe doing, financially? Really, really well.
• Ken Jones from Circular was in Atlanta last month and wrote up “Ten things we learned at CreativePro Week“
• Interested in learning how to make apps with Adobe Experience Manager Mobile (what used to be called DPS)? Check out this new ebook at Amazon from some real experts in the field at Tech4Pub!
• I just came across a treasure trove of videos from the 2016 Books in Browsers conference.
• Did you know you can use InCopy in “write-first” mode? (write in InCopy instead of Word or some other word processor, even before you have an InDesign layout)

• Speaking of fonts… the release date of a font can be used in criminal forensics, as described by the “font sleuth” Thomas Phinney.
