QuarkXPress 6.5 wins 2004 Macworld Editor's Choice (Eddy) Award

Quark today proudly announced that QuarkXPress 6.5, the latest version of its desktop publishing software for the Macintosh and Windows platforms, has won the award for Most Improved Page-Layout Program in the Macworld magazine Editors’ Choice (Eddy) Awards.
“We are very pleased to get this level of recognition from such a flagship publication as Macworld,” said Kamar Aulakh, Quark president and CEO. “It acknowledges the hard work of our employees and validates the new spirit of Quark. New features such as image editing and native Photoshop file import add value to the product and provide a real benefit for our customers.”
Describing the update on www.macworld.com, Terri Stone of Macworld wrote: “This upgrade is free to registered users of version 6, and it’s no minor bug fix.”
QuarkXPress 6.5 is a landmark update in offering high-level added functionality mid-release. In addition to the QuarkVista image editing and native Adobe Photoshop image (.psd) import capabilities, the release includes access to a font package from Linotype for a special price and Citrix server support for easier IT management.
