Produce Book Jacket Templates in Seconds
Dan Rodney has updated one of his scripts that automates a repetitive task inside Adobe InDesign: making a book jacket file. Instead of manually figuring out the correct dimensions, guides, fold and crop marks, and so on, you just install the Make Book Jacket 4.0 script, enter in a few simple measurements, and click one button. The script costs $20, or just $10 if you’re upgrading from a previous version.
Here’s what’s new in version 4.0:
• Dimensions are adjustable after you create the jacket file. Did the book end up needing a bigger spine than you bargained for? No problem. Same with the cover and flaps.
• You can no save and share your presets.
• Preview mode. This feature helps you imagine what a jacket will look like on a shelf in a store. Click the image below to watch a short video demonstrating the preview mode.
