Pantone Announces the 2014 Color of the Year
PANTONE has announced the 2014 Color of the Year: Radiant Orchid.
Expected to be a hot color for use in graphics, fashion, and product design, Radiant Orchid is “an enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones (that) inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love, and health.”
If you want to learn more about the color, why it was chosen, and how to use it effectively, you can register for a PANTONE webinar on the color of the year that takes place on December 11, 2013.
And if you want to dive right in and start using it now, you can download Radiant Orchid as an ASE (Adobe Swatch Exchange) file for use with Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
So in 2014, expect to see Radiant Orchid pop up in all kinds of places, including film,
music,
literature,
and even sports.
