In his article Towards a Typographic Prescription for Dyslexia, Jim Felici mentioned Abelardo Gonzales’s OpenDyslexic font. The font aims to help dyslexics by using deliberately unblanaced characters, heavily weighted at the bottom.

OpenDyslexic is a work in progress, and the designer is seeking donations to support his continued development of the typeface by adding “many improvements that need to be made to it: adding kernings, letter shapes, and expanding the character set.”
