How to Animate Flashing Lights in Photoshop

1

In this Three Minutes Max video, Khara Plicanic shows off a really quick way to make animated flashing lights in Photoshop. By duplicating layers and making slight adjustments to each, she turns each layer into a frame, creating the animation that can be exported to a video format.

Three Minutes Max comes from a fun—yet very competitive—session at our annual CreativePro Week conference. Speakers have three minutes (max!) to wow the audience with the tip and win a prize for a lucky conference attendee.

A camera slinging design geek and Photoshop nerd, Khara Plicanic is a natural born teacher who’s been sharing inspiration & know-how with fellow creatives for more than 15 years. When she’s not making futile attempts at reclaiming hard drive space or searching the sofa cushions for a runaway Wacom pen, Khara can be found plotting her next craft project, catching up with her favorite late-night hosts, or trying to remember where she left her phone.
