Hewlett Packard 2500C
Hewlett Packard 2500C
The 2500C series of HP color printers are designed for small business workgroups of between 5-10 users. Optimized for the network and designed for the workgroup, the printers support all major operating systems, network environments and protocols.
While this sounds sufficiently rugged and dependable, the main selling point to this printer is its speed. Claiming a 7.5ppm in mono print (3.5ppm color), the speeds were enough to make ZDNet rave. “…how does 3 minutes strike you for a 3-page PowerPoint file? Compare that with the 30 minutes it usually takes to get the same output from a typical ink-jet printer. The smaller 2000C is actually the faster of the two printers, with the 2500C hot on its heels.” They end up giving it five stars, mostly on its speed. For more useful imaging stats, The UK’s Hardware Advisor’s review delivers: “A resolution of 600dpi (dots per inch) doesn’t sound great, but HP has stopped measuring its resolution in dots per inch – PhotoREt II can now lay down four drops of ink per pixel.”
