Graphics of the Americas 2008 to Host Adobe InDesign and Pixel/Vector Conferences

Graphics of the Americas, the second largest U.S.-based annual international graphic communications exhibit and conference, today announced that their 2008 event will host The InDesign, Pixel and Vector Conference, February 26 through March 1, 2008, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, Florida. The two conferences will offer flexible pricing for attendees with one through three-day passes as well as a platinum pass, allowing attendees’ unlimited access to five days of conference sessions.
“Last year’s Creative Suite Conference was a huge attraction at Graphics of the Americas drawing hundreds of creative professionals that attend each year,” said George Ryan, president and CEO of the Printing Association of Florida and event organizer for Graphics of the Americas. “For 2008, we anticipate an even larger turnout, with attendance for The InDesign and Pixel/Vector Conferences alone numbering close to 1000.”
Eighteen internationally renowned instructors such as David Blatner, Sandee Cohen, Claudia McCue, and Anne-Marie Concepción will deliver over 40 sessions covering material such as handling images, streamlining workflow and managing output quality. The event will also include special overviews and in-depth training on InDesign CS3. The full day course on Mastering the Adobe Suite will offer tips and tricks for optimizing the full Creative Suite and the additional half-day paid tutorials will discuss Flash, Java-scripting, XML workflows and the essentials of Acrobat PDF’s. In addition, the Quick Start courses will cover InDesign Essentials and the InCopy/InDesign Workflow.
The Pixel/Vector Conference teaches Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator users how to create high quality work efficiently. Attendees will learn what tools to select and when to use them to get the best results. In addition, the Pixel/Vector conference will offer sessions for PhotoShop users that focus on how to harness the power of pixels for tonal and color correction, preparing images for print, web output and other utility features for designers. The Pixel/Vector Conference will also offer special sessions on using both Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator together. As a bonus, attendees can also attend special sessions on using Flash, on of the most popular applications for creating web-based animations.
