In addition to the compatibility with Adobe CS5, the new version of Smart Styles also supports new interactive styling elements for media, buttons and animations. Other CS5 features supported by Smart Styles CS5 are all frame corner effects, paragraph span columns ?and vertical justification in non-rectangular frames.

Time saver also for Workgroups
Users of Smart Styles simply drag a styled object into a Smart Styles library, after which Smart Styles intelligently analyzes its formatting. Page designers can then drag this SmartStyles object out of the library and onto another page element to apply the same formatting. What makes Smart Styles unique is that it can also deal with variations when the target object is different from the original.
Smart Styles libraries can be opened and shared by multiple users. Smart Styles also adds basic spreadsheet functionality to InDesign and InCopy by allowing users to insert formulas into tables and sort columns by multiple attributes such as alphabetical or numeric values with ascending or descending options.

Sorry to say, this is very difficult to understand. If there were ever an article that needs some graphics this is it. Usually appreciate knowing the price of items that will be for sale.
