CreativePro Week 2025 Preview: 5 Can’t-Miss Photoshop & Illustrator Sessions
Our Editor in Chief shares his list of five sessions on Illustrator and Photoshop that you do not want to miss at CreativePro Week 2025

The countdown to CreativePro Week 2025 is ticking down! The show takes place June 2-6 in Phoenix, AZ. And if you work in graphic design or production, this is the conference for you. But don’t take my word for it, check out the agenda, which is loaded with valuable sessions on Photoshop, PowerPoint, Illustrator, InDesign, and more.
In this post, I’ll highlight some sessions on Illustrator and Photoshop that you don’t want to miss.

Illustrator Magic (a.k.a. Harry Plotter and the Claimer Of Secrets)
If I were ever a student at a School of Magic, I know that Tony Harmer would be my favorite instructor. Not only is he a legit wizard, capable of conjuring up magical stuff in all the Adobe apps, he also knows how to make every lesson fun. When work feels like play that’s when the real magic happens. Whether you love Illustrator or consider it The App That Shall Not Be Named, I bet you’ll find the session…enchanting.

The Photo Editing Tool You’re Not Using… But Should Be
I love sessions with confident titles that tell me what I should be doing. They make me sit up and pay extra attention because I know the speaker is going to show me something that could totally change the way I do things for the better. I also know that Camera Raw is a tool that not enough Photoshop users take advantage of. Maybe the UI is a little overwhelming. Or, maybe it’s the name that makes people think it only works for RAW images. But you can do incredible things to bring out the best in any photo with Camera Raw once you learn some of the techniques that Theresa is going to show.

Photoshop Power Hour
When Jesús Ramirez talks Photoshop, people listen. And watch. His YouTube channel has over 1.8 million subscribers—and with good reason. He shows how to achieve stunning results with practical, easy-to-understand techniques that will give you the confidence you can do anything in Photoshop. Jaw dropping and mind blowing are all in a day’s work for Jesús. This session is one of the few at CreativePro Week that take place in The Big Room with everyone in attendance because we can all benefit from the amazing stuff Jesús is going to show us.

So You Think You Know Illustrator?
Here’s the thing: I think I used to know Illustrator. Early in my career, my main job was making vector illustrations for textbooks. And I loved it. But nowadays, I get to use Illustrator just enough to be reminded that there are probably better ways for accomplishing some tasks than the ones I remember. So I’m excited to have a pro like Chris Carls take me on a tour of state of the art best practices in Illustrator.

Illustrator Brushes, Symbols, and Patterns —Oh My!
Being able to draw a flower in Illustrator is one thing. Creating a field of hundreds of flowers is another. For something like that you need to leverage tools that help you create complex artwork efficiently. Chana Messer has been teaching these tools for as long as I can remember and she knows them like the back of her hand. Even better, she’ll be showing us some of the cutting edge “AI in Ai” and how it integrates with brushes, symbols, and patterns to boost your creativity and productivity in new ways.
The fact that Chana’s session takes place at the same time as Theresa Jackson’s is no problem either. Everyone who registers for CreativePro Week has access to the on-demand recordings for a year. So I can go back and watch this session or any other as many times as I want.
The Eyes Have It
Seeing is believing. Come to CreativePro Week or check it out online. Boost your skills, make new connections, and partake of the joy these presenters and all the others bring to the stage. From beginner to expert, there’s something for everyone. Register now and don’t miss out!
