Create a Portfolio in Acrobat 9, Get an iTunes Gift Card

“Experience PDF Portfolios” is a campaign on AcrobatUsers.com that’s encouraging creative professionals to experiment with Acrobat 9’s little-known Portfolios feature.
The AcrobatUsers Web site provides fictitious content, which includes documents, images, and videos. You choose a layout from the provided selection and add finishing touches like a header. Save the resulting portfolio, send it to Adobe and, if it meets the simple assembly requirements described here, Adobe sends you an iTunes gift card worth $10. Pretty easy way to get some new tunes!
For all the details, read “Create a PDF Portfolio in as little as 5 minutes.”

I was making Photo folios back in Acrobat 3 and sending them out on floppy disks (CD burners were over $1000 for 1x at that point) – it worked well and bought in work.

Boy I guess *no one* is making Portfolios, huh. They’re paying people to try out a feature! LOL Terri that was the article I wanted to write for you … how to create a backwards-compatible Portfolio, which to me is the main problem with them (you need Reader 9 to open them… what percentage of normal computer users have Reader 9?). I still mean to write it one of these days ;-)

okay technically you don’t *need* Reader 9, but you’ll get a big honking warning about updating to Reader 9 if you try it from Reader 7 or 8. I don’t think they open at all in earlier versions of Reader.
