Cacidi LiveBrowse Creates Image Bank in InDesign

Cacidi Systems, a leading developer of utility software for Adobe Indesign, releases their brand new software product LiveBrowse.
Just one week after releasing the LiveMerge software which aids set-up and maintenance of database content in InDesign, Cacidi Systems are ready with yet another product which makes daily life easier for InDesign users.
Database not required
LiveBrowse makes it easy to create a visual overview over the user’s image, illustrations, text documents and spread sheets in Adobe InDesign.
LiveBrowse simply keeps an eye on whichever folder the user selects as the point of origin for the files, i.e. images, illustrations, text files and spread sheets. After the principal folder has been chosen, LiveBrowse provides complete navigation in sub folder and root folders.
Very easy to use
It is very easy to select a folder and have its content shown as a preview in the InDesign palette. You can choose an executive folder which contains all customer folders, and by using LiveBrowse you can navigate the files in the underlying folders.
If you want to import and place an image, an illustration, a text document or a spread sheet in InDesign, all you have to do is to select the file in the LiveBrowse palette and then, using the mouse, drag and drop it onto the page. It doesn’t get any easier than that.
You can select various preview sizes in the palette, depending on the level of detail in which you wish to view your assets. Should the content of the folder change, all you have to do to update the palette in InDesign is to click the Update button in LiveBrowse.
Recognizability
The LiveBrowse palette works exactly the same way as all the other palettes in InDesign. This means that anybody who is familiar with Cacidi’s other products will be able to use software straight away, just as it is easy to hide the palette on the side of the screen.
