Bruce Fraser’s Illness
A sad personal note, for a moment, away from the tips and tricks of InDesign: My friend and co-author Bruce Fraser was recently diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and has been deteriorating extremely quickly. Bruce and I started writing Real World Photoshop together back at Photoshop version 3 and it’s been a pleasure and an honor to work with him over all these years. His depth of knowledge about photography, color management, and digital imaging — as well as his eagerness to share that information with others — has always impressed me. Plus, he’s just a cool guy. Clearly, others think so, too, as he was yesterday given a lifetime achievement award from NAPP.
You can learn more about Bruce and his work, as well as leave a comment for him at the PhotoshopNews.com site.
Update on 12/17: As Steve points out in a comment below, Bruce passed away over the weekend. We will all miss him greatly.
