Apple Cinema Display
The Apple Cinema Display is one huge screen (a vast 22") that boasts great image sharpness and brightness with excellent contrast and consistent color. The folks at Apple are only selling this with PowerMac G4s, and it’s not cheap at $3,999; but if you’re in the market for a G4, want super high image quality and have the cash to spend, this is the display for you.
Jon Simon at sharkeyextreme.com calls this "the best screen we’ve seen for any computer," which is high praise indeed given the products on the market today (full review). Reviews of the Apple Cinema Display have been few, probably because of its compatibility with only the new G4s, but with twice the brightness and sharpness of other displays and the fact that data is transferred digitally from the computer, we’re inclined to believe all the good things we’re hearing about this screen.
