Is this glass half empty or is it half full?
Your answer may affect how you feel about the following free video by David Blatner from the InDesignSecrets series at Lynda.com. You see, the video is about a workaround for making an object style to control the size of a text frame. You can’t really make an object style that sets the exact size of a frame in InDesign. But with David’s clever trick, you can almost do it. It mostly works.
Of course, workarounds are never as good as having a simple feature that “just works.” Still, they’re a lot better than nothing at all. And given the choice, I’ll take a half full glass over an empty glass anytime.
