Easy DRM for PDF Protection

Vitrium is now the only company offering SaaS PDF protection that does not require readers to download and install either a plug-in for Adobe Reader or a third-party proprietary viewer. SBE makes it quick, easy and economical to protect PDFs from misuse. The service is accessed entirely via the Internet and requires no software installations or downloads. Users simply login to the SBE Web site and start protecting PDFs.
Vitrium has made significant traction in the digital rights management (DRM) space with protectedpdf® and the benefits of its new SaaS version are clear. Cadalyst Magazine’s Kenneth Wong had the opportunity to preview SBE at the Adobe Max Show in San Francisco last November and immediately marveled about not needing to own or install any software. “You implement the security features you want — disabling printing and copying , for example — by uploading your file to the protectedpdf portal, specifying the rights you want to grant, then downloading the tagged file back to your own local drive,” he explains.
Perhaps the coolest feature, “you can modify or revoke the rights previously granted after the document has been published and distributed,” notes Wong. SBE features include: auto-unlock files; modify and revoke reader permissions; limit the number of computers a reader may access documents from; disable text copying and document printing; display customized system data when printed or displayed onscreen; and even protect multiple PDFs simultaneously or automate the protection process.
This DRM solution is a SaaS offering built on the Microsoft SharePoint platform is great news for all Microsoft SharePoint users who have PDF’s they would like to protect from unauthorized redistribution.

For PDF protection, you can visit: https://drm.verypdf.com web site, they are an old PDF solution provider. They provide PDF protection from sharing. You can lock your PDF files with their online DRM protection application. With their DRM protection, you don’t need to worry about share or copy the protected file, because it’s protected with a username and password. The DRM protected PDF file can not be shared or copied. You totally control the copyright of your PDF file. Users must obtain a license with username and password to open the PDF file. You can control the begin date, expiration date, open count, print count, etc. functions. They provide free web application that you can try it for free. I hope it is helpful for you.
It is not very secure – see https://www.ihatedrm.com/cs2/forums/thread/12233.aspx
I hate DRM tells you how to remove the protection – https://ihatedrm.com/cs2/forums/thread/12233.aspx
This is really not fucking funny when you pay $500 for a PDF file for business and you can’t use it effectively because only two computers can ever open it up. ALL DRM SUCKS and any company using it will automatically never get my business. Now please excuse me while I go find a crack so I can use the damned PDF that I PAID FOR.
One wonders how this can be called PDF protection when ALL of the security is removed by simply opening up the ‘protected’ file in Acrobat Pro. You are better off sticking to Adobe password protection which costs nothing and is more secure!
