Mac Users of Acrobat X, Download this Update
Back in the day, Mac users of Acrobat griped because new features sometimes appeared first in Windows versions of the software. Eventually, Adobe brought the two in line with each other (mostly), and there was feature parity regardless of your operating system (mostly).
But could it be that the gap is growing again? Way back in December 2010, author and trainer Claudia McCue reported a bug in Adobe Acrobat X: Edit Object (previously known as the TouchUp Object tool) didn’t work when you tried it on images and vector objects. This bug affected only the Mac version of Acrobat X.
At last, Adobe released a patch that fixes the problem. Once you install the Acrobat 10.1 Pro update for the Mac, you can touch up images and vector objects to your heart’s content. The 134MB update also addresses problems with security and stability.
And if you have the Windows version of Acrobat Pro, the 10.1 update also includes a new Protected View. Mac users, you don’t get to play in that sandbox.
