Venerable software developer GLUON has just released a new, enhanced version of its best selling ProPack bundle that is QuarkXPress™ 7 compatible. Like previous versions of ProPack, version 7 has little or no fluff. Users will find nothing but XTensions they’ll use day in and day out. Some of the new tools now included in ProPack have sold separately for more than the cost ProPack, or in some cases, a significant portion of the price. With this new version of ProPack (which represents millions of dollars worth of development over the years) GLUON is offering unprecedented publishing power to XPress7 users — at a price that’s impossible to pass up.
Summary of new features and XTensions:
- Quark 7 native
- ProScale, users can now scale drop shadows as an option (along with many other options).
- DragIn 7–users can now drag and drop text, RTF and Word files into XPress documents, as well as pictures.
- TableMaker 7–(new to ProPack) users now have a tool to format tables intelligently using tabbed text or table cells.
- QC 7–(new to ProPack) a serious Quality Control tool that finds and fixes problems. QC 7 even has a “proofreader” module.
- QC Collect 7– (new to ProPack) Powerful collection tool allows collecting of multiple documents at once and comes with a desktop Collection Bin.
- NaviZoom– (new to ProPack) A zoom and navigation tool that also allows uncluttered, clean previews of pages or spreads and can also show document as slide show
Along with these additions, other ProPack software has been updated to work with QuarkXPress 7 including: Cropster, iDropper, Cloner, Greeker, Linkster, ProGrids & Guides, ProBullets & Numbers, Reporter, ShapeMaker, SpotCheck, Outlines and Strata for a total of 18 XTensions.
