X-Rite and Pantone Launch ColorMunki Trade-Up Program

X-Rite, Incorporated (NASDAQ: XRIT), the world leader in color management and measurement technologies, and Pantone, an X-Rite company and the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries, today announced a trade-up program for ColorMunki(TM) products. The program allows current X-Rite and Pantone users, as well as competitive device owners, to trade existing monitor/printer color calibration or profiling solutions for ColorMunki Photo or ColorMunki Design.
For a limited time, photographers, designers and creatives who want to trade their existing color solutions to gain complete color control of their images, while adding innovative color creation and communication tools, may realize up to $100/€90/£60 in savings with proof-of-purchase of their current colorimeter or printer profiling solutions.
Hailed as “the biggest breakout in its category,” “a real winner” and “the Swiss Army knife of color,” ColorMunki is an innovative family of color creation and control solutions for photographers and designers in multiple industries, including graphic design, printing, publishing, fashion, home, interior, architecture and industrial design.
“Photographers and designers who have invested in entry-level solutions can now obtain additional color functionality – like monitor-to-print color matching and PrintSafe color creation and control,” stated Thomas Kunz, market manager of photo, design and prepress for X-Rite. “Now is the time for our customers to take advantage of special savings and upgrade to an all-in-one ColorMunki.”
ColorMunki Photo is a completely integrated, monitor-to-print matching solution that profiles and calibrates monitors, printers and projectors, and offers DigitalPouch(TM) image sharing and Photo ColorPicker custom palette creation for social, wedding and portrait photographers.
ColorMunki Design provides graphic professionals, from freelancers to corporate in-house designers, with the freedom and ease to create, verify, manage and share color palettes in a production-safe environment. Users can select colors from multiple sources including PANTONE® Color Libraries, system-level color pickers, images, color harmonies and word searches. Color palettes can then be seamlessly imported into popular design applications including Adobe® Creative Suite® and QuarkXPress®. It also allows users to quickly and accurately capture color from any substrate, easily calibrate monitors, projectors and printers for accurate display-to-print matching, and verify colors for process-safe reproduction in any medium.
