Wacom Graphire3 Pen Tablets to Include New Software From Adobe, Corel, and nik Multimedia

Wacom Technology Corporation announces that its popular Graphire3 pen tablets now include Adobe Photoshop® Elements 2, Corel Painter™ Essentials 2, and nik Color Efex Pro® 2 GE. With the addition of this valuable software, the Graphire3 pen tablets make it even easier to have fun editing digital photos and creating digital art.
Announced at the 2005 International CES event in Las Vegas, the new Graphire3 software bundle combines powerful photo enhancement tools from Adobe Systems (NASDAQ: ADBE) and nik Multimedia with a wide range of realistic natural media tools for digital drawing and painting from Corel Corporation. Graphire3 pen tablets are available in a choice of three colors (Sapphire Blue, Pearl White, and Graphite Gray) and two sizes (a 4×5 model with an SRP of $99.95 and a 6×8 model with an SRP of $199.95). In addition to being popular for creative applications, Graphire3 pen tablets are becoming an important part of the office environment. Working with a patented Wacom pen gives users the natural control to annotate documents in Adobe Acrobat® or Microsoft® PowerPoint” and to write directly in Microsoft (Nasdaq: MFST) Office XP and with Apple® (Nasdaq: AAPL) Inkwell.
Graphire3 Bundled Software
Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 comes with over 15 pressure-sensitive tools designed to be used with a Wacom pen. Pressure-sensitive control makes it possible to quickly and naturally blend images, sharpen photos, and modify colors. Editing digital images has never been easier.
Corel Painter Essentials 2 includes more than 50 pressure-sensitive natural media brushes and a mix of papers, nozzles, and patterns, for some serious creative fun. When used with a Wacom pen, it makes it easy to turn digital photos into original works of art.
Using nik Color Efex Pro 2 GE and a Wacom pen, it’s possible to selectively apply photographic filters using pressure-sensitivity to control the amount of effect applied. The four photographic enhancement filters included are Brilliance/Warmth (to control color temperature and saturation), Graduated Blue (for enhancing skies and water), Monday Morning Violet (for creating a moody stylistic look), and Pastel (for generating subdued and softened images).
