Vertus Cuts Cost of Fluid Mask
Vertus today announced it is reducing the cost of its ground-breaking Photoshop plug-in tool, Fluid Mask to $249(€249, £179).
The move co-incides with the upcoming launch of the PC version of the highly acclaimed masking and cut-out software.
Comments director James Carr-Jones: “In just three months we have exceeded our expected user base and the economies of scale allow us to offer customers the keenest pricing.”
Fluid Mask is a tool that takes image masking and cutting-out to new levels and allows the user to accurately and quickly cut out objects from images. It is based around breakthrough technology which is similar to the way the eye, optic nerve and brain perform visual processing.
The tool is aimed at designers, graphic artists, photographers and artworkers within design agencies, catalogue houses and publishing houses who regularly cut-out images.
Fluid Mask’s intelligent paint tools enable objects to be cut out quickly and easily. Often a single brush stroke is all that’s required to identify an object’s edges.
The Regional Editor and Colour Palette provide total colour/pixel control over the most complex cut-outs allowing the user to work at levels of detail that were previously not available.
Both the PC and Mac versions of the products will be priced at $249(€249, £179) which will see a reduction in the price of the Mac version from $399 (€399, £299). Fluid Mask is available as a download at www.vertustech.com and through distributors.
