As you should be supplying pdf's to the printer its not really an issue as they can add marks themselves, however best practice is to talk to the printer and see what they would like you to supply.

Recosoft make a product that does this, however it costs money, have you told you client that this service will incur a significant cost? It may make them rethink, how about just giving them the text from the ID file? Text exporter is very good for this. Good luck :)

Chapparel Pro is a well designed Adobe typeface there should no need to change the justification and glyph spacing at all.

    Use copy and paste

There is no text flow in tables.

    or

You could use a numbered list. Just change where it starts and the following numbers will change accordingly.

The use of transparency is not something you really need to avoid, it can allow you to make far more interesting layouts alot quicker than was possible before.

Make sure you have the text on a layer above all transparency.

To NOT use psd files in my work would be like going back to the dark (quark) ages.

The company I work for recently (last November) upgraded to CS5 but we have kept CS3 for one client. Granted the upgrade was also to Intel machines so it is a pricey move, however, not doing so was not a choice as a big client was also making the move to CS5, but it was time we did so.

But using a grep style means the fractions happen on the fly and no script ever needs to be run, plus the grep style is not $75.

Cool – thanks for checking that David, I know it's a very subtle line but it is great to be able to actually see a variable. I noticed it on a job I am doing in CS3 (please upgrade client), and thought, I have to tell someone.

Use layers. Go to your master page, open the layers panel and add a layer, call it folios or page numbers. Move the folios onto the new layer. Now if this layer is always kept at the top your numbers will always be seen.

I would say that the problem stems from the soft returns between each bullet, they seem to cause more problems than they solve.

I don't have enough time right now to go into how to use nested styles or ID's bullet lists but those are where I think your solution lies. All the best, and I am sure that someone here will be able to give the info you need (they are good like that)

I haven't used the script before but if (big if) it gives the picture box an object style, then open up that object style and envoke the power of “frame fitting style”. It may be as simple as hitting the centre ref point.
