January 7, 2019 at 1:24 am in reply to: Help: How to extract selected page/s on indesign file? #113407
Niels JÌürgen Pedersen
ParticipantYou can’t move pages to a folder – you have to make a new, blank document, and move the pages to that.
I Acrobat, you can extract selected pages, and save them, but not in InDesign.

ParticipantAre the master a 2-page setup? Then the guides must be on both pages, not just on one.
If you have a 2-page master, the vertical guides can be placed on both pages at the same time by holding “Ctrl” while dragging.

ParticipantYou have to go to Preferences – Interface – Options, and set “Live screen drawing” to “Immediate”. Then your text frame will update live. But it will slow your InDesign , if working with large documents :)

ParticipantHave you checked Paragraf Style – Underline options? Could be that?
Try to force the text to “Basic Paragraf” – if that removes the grey background, it IS an Paragraf Style-problem :)
November 29, 2018 at 2:00 am in reply to: After adding a Character Style an existing font now highlighted in Pink #111870Niels JÌürgen Pedersen
ParticipantThats clearly because your character style adds an feature to your text, that the marked font does not contain.
What does your Character style do? If your character style adds “bold”, and the font does not contain “bold”, the characters will be marked as “missing font”.Niels JÌürgen Pedersen
ParticipantWhat is an “MSO”??

ParticipantHave you tryed to install the Mac-version af InDesign, instead of using the VM and PC version?
Perhaps InDesign is no longer compatible with VM?Niels JÌürgen Pedersen
ParticipantThese characters are normally hidden in InDesign.
Try to go to: “Type” – and at the bottom: Choose “Hide hidden characters”. Then you don’t see them anymore. These characters are InDesigns way to show linebraaks, tabs and so on. You can select and copy them, find/change them, but they will not print, or be visible, unless you tell InDesign to show them: By choosing “Show hidden characters” :)

ParticipantIt could be a font problem – try to remove so many fonts from the Virtual PC/Mac as you can, and then restart?

ParticipantIf you always create a specific color for a task, and dont use a tint of a standard-color, you can change this color global afterwards.
Newer use a tint af a color!August 30, 2018 at 11:03 pm in reply to: Is there a way to duplicate a new layer below the current layer? #110176Niels JÌürgen Pedersen
ParticipantJust create a new layer and drag it below the existing layer. InDesign always make new layers appear on top of the actual layer.
August 28, 2018 at 11:09 pm in reply to: • Images not appear in the LINKS PANEL – how export? #110138Niels JÌürgen Pedersen
ParticipantIf you copy-paste something, it is not a link …
InDesign is not ment to “copy-paste” images, but to link to them. Always use the link funktion.
Niels JÌürgen Pedersen
ParticipantSimply use InDesigns script-function. Select Javascript – ImageCatalog, and set it to 1 perpage – then InDesign will place 1 pdf per page.

ParticipantWhere does the files come from?
Perhaps, if it is firms hwo sell seasoning-products, the “AW” means “Autumn-Winter”? As in The Autunm Winter collection.Niels JÌürgen Pedersen
ParticipantWhy do you use ps? Simple export a pdf directly. Select “Export..” under the “File” menu, and in the export menu select “Adobe pdf (print). And then select “spreads” – then you get an pdf in spreads.
