Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipant
I dont understand you?
A 100% black text will result in: C:0, Y:0, M:0 and K: 100.
You cant have pure black text with something beneath. But du your self a favor, and place the image in InDesign and make the text there, not in PhotoShop.
And no, a proper printing office will not have problems in aligning the 4 plates :)
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantI use EasyCatalog for online catalogs, over 7000 pages in 5 different languages, updated every week. Perfect for that, and i think it would be excatly what you need.
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantPerhaps your mac is running out of space on your harddisk? InDesign uses space there while exporting? Creating a small pdf from a very large document requires the same space as creating a large pdf – so secure that there is plenty of free space on your harddisk!
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantYou are simulating with “U.S. Web coated (SWOP) profile?? You should always use the profile the pdf is made with, otherwise you cant trust what you see. Select the right profile, and thy again :)
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantMake a paragraf style and use that to control spacing :)
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantYes, as David says, you can’t update a Datamerge document, if you change the data, you have to generate it again.
June 14, 2020 at 11:04 pm in reply to: Filled text frame with blend mode other than Normal affects entire page below #1255172Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantInDesign only shows a preview og the images. If you add blend mode, InDesign imports the whole image, to make the blend image.
PhotoShop works only with full-res images, unlike InDesign. So what you see is normal.
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantYou have to use different Paragraf Style for each language – to create different Index’es and TOC.
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantIf your workplace has an InDesign account, you are allowed to install your copy of InDesign 2 places! Why don’t you just log in to your work-Adobe id, and install InDesign at home?
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantHave you checked the Hyperlink panel to see if the link is ok?
And have you exported the pdf with “Include hyperlinks”?Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantHi Civi, yes, it worked fine for me :)
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantOnly InDesign before CC can convert PM-files correct, and only PM files version 6.5-7.0. What versions do you use/convert?
Perhaps you should use an older version og InDesign :)Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantI don’t think balanced columns work with that – but it is an odd way to make columns – why dont use InDesigns ordinary way, and only use “span columns on headlines?
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantI suppose, that you have applied the Object Style to the master page text box, wright? If you do that, every automatic inserted text box will be with that object style.
If you want all manual made text boxes to be that style, simply, with nothing selected, click, text tool, and then mark the object style wanted, and then draw a textbox. Now it will be with the selected object style at standard.
Niels JÌürgen PedersenParticipantOr you could export all pages as jpg from InDesign, and then make a “Automate batch” in Photoshop, to make all jpg’s pdf. Final, combine all pdf’s to one single pdf in Acrobat :)
