MemberUnless corel has changed things just recent there clipart are vector
They will be in a format Coreldraw can read if they are cdr or cmx. illustrator will read some corel clipart think it has to be cdr not sure about cmx
Even with cdr it depends on which version of coreldraw they where saved under.

MemberIn your swatches select all colour of the same type ie: all rgb or all spot, click on the panel options… top right of the swatches…
select Swatch Options then change that to CMYK, Pretty sure you can only do one type at a time so only select iver the rgb or the spot.

MemberHi Mark,
Although you said you did not want them liked, you could still do it that way and if you have to edit them go to the liked file and then update the link.
Thats said because the other way is to copy and paste them into your new document, which I think will loss you your layers settings if you happen to use em.

MemberFrom what I can read from you post PDF does seem to be the best way especially once you have done any alterations you can state what page and possition on page the alteration has been made, which makes it easier for your client to find the alteration.
If all there images where on there own layer in indesign they could turn that layer off and then output it to smallest size this will only output only the visible layers leaving the photos behind.
Plus with a pdf you can edit the text and then send the pdf back and they open it and see your edits.

MemberWas just wondering if these files are on a network the time it takes to open files maybe increased due to searching the network for the links.
If you copy the files to local drive and disconnect network would they open quicker.
November 24, 2010 at 9:03 pm in reply to: Is Postscript in a LaserPrinter with MacOSX required anymore? #57893mckayk777
MemberI remember a runtime version of windows for Pagemaker (hmm cant remember version) and CorelDraw 1.0.
My very first Laser printer was a HP 4mp which I think was around 3k when new.
Not sure about the need for postscript any more but all printers we have here have postscript and never thought of buying a printer without it. Never thought about buying anything but HP as well.
You can always Network Share the printer on one machine so both Mac & PC can use it.

MemberFont management program is the way if you have to use the exact same font each time, Linotype FontExplorer X is a pretty good one, tried suitcase but kept on getting conflicts with it.
Illustrator will sometimes show a font like it is there when it is not I think!
With Fontexplorer you can have as many different versions of the same font on the computer but just the one you need for the current job active at a time.
A good font manager is a must when doing design.
