MemberI've had templates where it was named with the .indt extension, but apparently the designer had saved it as an InDesign document (.indd) and just changed the extension to .indt.
So I had to resave as a true template with the .indt.

Memberavid01–I gotta admit I never had the situation arise.
But why do you *expect* Adobe to add a function that may (or may not) be barely used? Are they supposed to be mind-readers?
I can only suggest you contact Adobe (someone here probably has the e-mail address) and submit your wish list.
Cheers as well and hopefuly Adobe will implement what you feel is needed into the next version of the program.

Membermartys–my personal preference is to use absolute leading and all heads and whatnot are on even lines (i.e., even leading). Sometimes the design does not allow for that (i.e, an extract being on different leading), and I will have to adjust space above/below accordingly. I keep away from the align to baselign grid.

MemberI've never seen those exact missing plug-is. But I've seen a lot of missing plug-ins when trying to open a higher InDesign document in a lower-version (i.e., trying to open a CS4 file in CS2 or CS3).

MemberMy first thought is the same as Ann-Marie's.

MemberI don't know, snorcross. The only time I have experienced this is when there are duplicate fonts on computers.

MemberAlthough it's probably more complicated than what I'm typing, you could try changing the default of your basic table style. Just as there are object styles in InDesign, there are also table styles and cell styles.
I've never done it though. I usually just make new ones and then apply them when once the text and tables are imported.
I would think changing the defaults of the basic ID table style would work and from experimenting for a few minutes it seems to.

MemberI agree with Eugene and Furry. But, if it's not throughout and maybe something like boxed material or sidebars that flow with the text, you could try to make a single-cell table out of those paragraphs with the shading. When text is added or deleted, it will resize.
If you use the character style sheet method for the strikethrough or rule above below, I'd nest through a hard return. Of course, you'd have to have a separate paragraph style sheet for that shaded material.
