David BlatnerKeymasterNope… there is no reliable “downsave to CS3” method for libraries, sadly… frustrating.
David BlatnerKeymasterHi Jennie… I think you're running into an oddity about how ID handles multiple numbers in a single list on a spread: The numbers are arranged in the order you created the frames! It does not “see” where things are on the page. Frustrating, eh?
David BlatnerKeymasterWhen you say you print, what are you printing on? A postscript printer? Or a proofing inkjet or laser device?
I'm not sure what you mean by visible light and dark patches. The drop shadows will, of course, create “dark patches,” no? Can you take a small screen capture of part of the page, put it someplace on the web, and use the image link button here in a post to point to it?
David BlatnerKeymasterAre you experiencing this:

or this:
https://creativepro.com/eli…..ndrome.php
Does that help?
David BlatnerKeymasterYes, they may have fixed that… Shift-page down certainly jumps to the same place on the page in CS4.
David BlatnerKeymasterThanks, Jennie. Yes, it's been a busy week… month… year…. decade… life… ;)
The clue is how you created the “objects.” You made them on the master page, then overrode them, then duplicated the pages. If you duplicated the pages and then overrode the objects on each page, one at a time, it would probably be more reliable. But when you duplicate the pages, ID must create each page object… and it probably starts with the “last one first” (LIFO).
David BlatnerKeymasterAre you saying that InDesign actually moved the marks on the page itself? I can't think of why that happened… unless you used file > document setup to increase the page size.
Is this reproducible? Does it happen each time you follow the same steps in a new document?

David BlatnerKeymasterNo, Package just puts it all in one folder. There should be no need to keep the folder structure if you're packaging for output, but I have been pushing Adobe for years for a “package for archive” feature… if you're packaging to give to another person or for archival, then yes, of course, you may want to keep some file structure.
The problem, of course, is if you have files in folders all over a hard drive, how does InDeisgn know what “structure” you want?

David BlatnerKeymasterI definitely would not open the EPS in photoshop. That is a mistake a lot of people make. Bad things often happen.
When you say you scale it 1.75 x 1, I'm not sure what you mean. Are you scaling it proportionally 175%, or scaling it disproportionally 175% horizontal and 100% vertical? That doesn't seem like a winning solution.
Another option would be to use the barcode software from teacup software; they have an ISBN barcode creator tool as part of their package: https://teacupsoftware.com/prod…..er1_0.html

David BlatnerKeymasterThis is a feature in the Blatner Tools suite https://dtptools.com/bt (there's a free 2 week version, so you can try it out).
There are other free scripts, which people have varying degrees of success with and which don't have as many options: https://creativepro.com/pri…..-specs.php
