David BlatnerKeymasterIt's hard to say what's going wrong. Did you try rebuilding your preferences files?

David BlatnerKeymasterGREP can't add numbers, but this script can:

Not sure how you'd limit it to numbers over 56… hm… why not just re-generate the index?!
David BlatnerKeymasterDrag the image into InDesign, then hold down Option/Alt and drop it on top of another image.
David BlatnerKeymasterHere's another good article that discusses some of the issues involved for InDesign users upgrading to Lion:
https://www.macworld.com/articl….._lion.html
Sounds like InDesign CS2 and earlier definitely won't work any longer. And Crash Reporter won't kick in for 10-15 minutes after a crash of InDesign CS5. Wacky!
David BlatnerKeymasterIt is possible, but unlikely. Maybe they could export a PDF and then you could convert that PDF to an InDesign document with the PDF2ID plug-in (from recosoft.com).
David BlatnerKeymasterNope, ID doesn't open SWF or FLA. It can only EXPORT them. Or import them to play them in an interactive PDF or SWF.
David BlatnerKeymasterExcellent question! I haven't installed it myself yet (I tend to be slow on these kinds of upgrades). However, Adobe has released a list of known problems, and it doesn't list any specific issues with InDesign:
https://kb2.adobe.com/cps/905/c…..90508.html
That said, of course Adobe won't take advantage of some of Lion's new features (auto backup, versions, etc.) until some future version.
David BlatnerKeymasterWell CS5 cannot open CS5.5 documents. You need to export as IDML. So I would assume it would be the same with Server.
David BlatnerKeymasterEven if there are overrides, the paragraph will be included in the TOC.
However, sometimes the local formatting will appear in the TOC when don't want it:
David BlatnerKeymasterAre you using the automatic page numbering feature in InDesign? Or did you type your own page numbers?
David BlatnerKeymasterThat's correct; InDesign has never let you edit arrowheads. Frustrating. It's a long-standing feature request. Feel free to add it here:
David BlatnerKeymasterYou're using CS4 or CS5? Hm. Maybe save as, then close and open again? If that doesn't help, try quitting and restarting. Or export as IDML and open that file in InDesign.
David BlatnerKeymasterYou can't really use grep to search for something that isn't there, like a closing quotation mark. The “Quality Assurance” panel in Blatner Tools (blatnertools.com) does this kind of search… quote marks or parentheses or brackets that are not closed.
David BlatnerKeymasterYes, I am somewhat frustrated that the DPS features have not yet been as fully integrated with InDesign's own features. Many interactive features in InDesign are ignored by DPS, and you must use their own techniques instead.
That is one reason I was impressed by the digital magazine solution from PressRun, which uses InDesign's own interactive features instead.
David BlatnerKeymasterNo, that's very strange! Perhaps try different joboptions in Distiller? Or, better, try using File > Export from InDesign directly.
