David BlatnerKeymasterSandee explored this topic in this article.

I assume it is very similar for CC 2015.
David BlatnerKeymasterOleh, also, I would recommend saving as jsx instead of a binary, so that a) people can learn from your script; b) people can edit it if necessary in the future; c) people can read it to confirm that it is not doing anything bad or unexpected to their system.
David BlatnerKeymasterWe talk about this a little bit in this month’s podcast. See links to scripts on this page:
David BlatnerKeymasterNo, that’s the problem with table cells in InDesign: You can’t split them across two frames.
David BlatnerKeymasterYou mean there is extra space between the paragraphs? Are you selecting the whole paragraph (including the final invisible paragraph return character at the end of the paragraph) when you check the leading value? Sometimes a single character gets the wrong leading.
Also, of course, check for space before or space after settings on the paragraph.
David BlatnerKeymasterAndrea, are you talking about the InDesign exam? There should be very few questions about shortcuts, except where those shortcuts are required to understand the feature itself.
It is not possible to miss by one question. It is true that it is a difficult test, but it is designed to be passed relatively easily by someone who uses InDesign regularly.
David BlatnerKeymasterYou might have to adjust that in Acrobat. I can’t recall. Interactive PDF is finicky. Note that it almost certainly won’t work on an iPad.
David BlatnerKeymasterTry making the PDF object a button in the Buttons panel. Doesn’t have to have any action applied to it.
David BlatnerKeymasterWhen you place the EPS or PDF, do you need to edit it in Illustrator? Maybe that is the problem.
EPS is an old format, and most people use PDF now: https://creativepro.com/tiff-vs-psd-vs-eps-vs-pdf-vs.php

David BlatnerKeymasterNo, but a developer (Kris from Rorohiko) showed a script solution at PePcon this week! It was amazing! I will see if we can get access to the script.
David BlatnerKeymasterNo, you definitely do not need to do find/change to get ligatures in InDesign, but you do need the right fonts. If the font has the right intelligence built in (and most OpenType fonts do), then InDesign does all the swapping on the fly.
It sounds like you’re looking for the Discretionary Ligatures feature, which will replace things like “ct”. You can find that in the OpenType menu, inside the Control panel menu (or the Character panel menu).

David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t know the answer to this, but if ID can’t do it, you might take a look at X-refs pro (dtptools.com) which has many more features for doing powerful cross-references. They have a new “cloud” option which makes using their plug-ins very inexpensive!
