David BlatnerKeymasterNo, you can only add objects to libraries (and if the story is inside the object, then that comes, too). You would need to drag out the object, then click the overflow port, then Shift-click on the next page to have it flow the whole story.
David BlatnerKeymasterActually, an index is usually better for page ranges.
David BlatnerKeymasterYes, the key is always to make changes with no docs open:
https://creativepro.com/more-often-than-not-changing-indesign-defaults.phpNote that any changes you make in the “no pub state” are only saved when you actually quit InDesign. (So if you make changes and then 2 hours later you crash, you’ll have to make the changes again. So I like to quit and relaunch after making changes to the defaults.)
David BlatnerKeymasterIf it shows up wrong in the TXT or CSV file, then it is an excel issue. Please search google or bing for a solution on how to export CSV or TXT and maintain the date formatting. I don’t know how best to do that, sorry!
David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t think InDesign is changing it. To get data merge to work, you have to save the file from Excel as a CSV. So Excel is probably changing it when it writes the CSV file. If you open the CSV in a text editor, do you see the date correctly?
David BlatnerKeymasterNo, object styles can’t do that for graphic frames.
One option: https://creativepro.com/set-the-size-of-lots-of-frames-at-the-same-time.php
David BlatnerKeymasterI believe it’s because Adobe did not want to make it too easy to change a page size accidentally. Also, because one of the main uses for the Page Tool is previewing what will happen in a liquid layout situation if or when a page size was changed.
David BlatnerKeymasterHere’s a couple of articles about the page tool that might help:
https://creativepro.com/resize-documents-fit-objects-page.php
and

David BlatnerKeymasterMy guess is that if you need that level of control, it would be better to export from InDesign as PNG instead of PDF.
Such as: https://creativepro.com/export-selection-precise-size.php
David BlatnerKeymasterThis post might help (be sure to read the comments afterward, too):

David BlatnerKeymasterYou can do a search for numerals that are in a specific font (in the find/change dialog box), but not “find numerals that are not in a particular font.” Or you could search for all numerals in a particular paragraph style and apply that formatting to them (either in find/change or using grep styles).

David BlatnerKeymasterSorry, there’s no easy way to do that built in to InDesign. I generally recommend assigning paragraph styles and doing clean up in Word before placing into InDesign.
David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t understand: Are you trying to edit the text in InDesign or Illustrator? What are you trying to change?
David BlatnerKeymasterLooks like it posted this time, Alesh. If you have trouble again (if your post doesn’t appear within 1 or 2 minutes), then please just email us directly (see the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page) and tell us. Your posts all come in… but sometimes they get stuck, if our software thinks it is spam. (And I have NO idea why it thinks your comments are. Very strange.)
David BlatnerKeymasterIsn’t that funny? It’s like someone advertising a restaurant by showing a photo of a dirty kitchen.
I removed the spam link and blocked the user from posting.
