David BlatnerKeymasterNo, I’ve been having the same problem with recent versions of InDesign. Not sure why, but sometimes tool tips just stop showing up in certain places.
For example, just now I hovered over a color in the Swatches panel, then I clicked somewhere on my page, and now suddenly the tool tips don’t work over any swatches in the Swatches panel. But if I close the panel and open it again, the tool tips start working again. Very frustrating.
David BlatnerKeymasterThe control panel cannot be customized in that way, sorry. I agree that it would be cool!
David BlatnerKeymasterTables have long been a problem for mobile devices. I know that Justin at Ajar has been working on a new version of in5 to export tables as HTML5, which might help:

David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t think InDesign –> Acrobat could do this. I don’t recall ever seeing a form field automatically expand in a PDF. Not saying it can’t be done in Javascript, but… maybe check with the folks at pdfscripting.com?
David BlatnerKeymasterWhen Kai R. says “you found a bug” then I listen! :-)
Wow, that’s fascinating. And very bad!
I remember hearing about this bug months ago, but I thought Adobe said it had been fixed. Maybe it is back?Yes, it seems that graphic frames in header rows are not picked up on some pages. Like Kai, I cannot even see it on page 2.
But if you anchor a graphic frame into the text cell instead, then it does work. Bug.
David BlatnerKeymasterKarin, well that is just jpeg. You cannot trust that. I will probably be more sharp if you export as PNG. But for best results export as a pdf file with the PDF/X4 preset.
David BlatnerKeymasterIf you choose View > Display Performance > High Quality, and zoom in on those objects, do they appear aligned on the page in InDesign? That is, is it InDesign or the output that is the problem?
David BlatnerKeymasterDandalo, I like that idea, but no, I do not think there is any way to do that. Maybe suggest it at indesign.uservoice.com
David BlatnerKeymasterIf the graphic cell is empty (if you can see an X in it) then you should be able to click-click-click on each one. This works for me. But if the cell already has an image in it and you want to replace that image, you need to Option/Alt-cilck instead.
If you don’t see an X in the cell, then it might also be a regular text cell.
David BlatnerKeymasterSorry for the hassle, Blusse. Your reply with code in it is causing some trouble with the forum. But it should work if you put html PRE and /PRE html codes around it
like this
David BlatnerKeymasterThat looks like a really useful font, John! Thanks for sharing with the community.
David BlatnerKeymasterJake: That means the object is a button. You can that that off in the Buttons and Forms panel. It shouldn’t be a problem for exporting to PDF, even from a book. That’s odd.
