David BlatnerKeymasterYes, I think you should check with Belkin about why the Command key isn’t working with those numeric keys.
If you’re looking for a macro program, I use Keyboard Maestro.

David BlatnerKeymasterYes, this has been a frustration for many years. I’ll post a couple of blog articles below that might help. Also, the PowerStyles/Blatner Tools plug-ins from DTPTools.com let you assign any keyboard shortcut you want to any style (up to 10). It’s not perfect, but it does help a lot of people.

David BlatnerKeymasterAre you using some kind of script or plug-in to export the InDesign file to all the different languages?
The idea that clearing preferences fixes the problem seems VERY strange to me. InDesign preferences should not have anything to do with PDF export quality. (Though all things are possible, I suppose.)
Seems like the problem should be somewhere else… recreating the yellow image makes the problem go away? I wonder if there was some sort of white box in that image, such as an overprinting (or non-overprinting) white object.
David BlatnerKeymasterJust to confirm: You are looking at this exported PDF in Adobe Acrobat, right? Not Preview or some other PDF viewer?
Of course, the text language is also changing between your preview and “result” :-)
David BlatnerKeymasterDid your boss measure the page on screen at 100% or after printing out. The change in size is almost always based on the printer or printer driver resizing the page. For example, people often export a PDF then print the PDF, and the full-size page gets scaled slightly at print time to “fit” on the paper. (You can control the printer driver by clicking “Printer” in the Print dialog box.)
David BlatnerKeymasterYes, Google/YouTube is forever changing their user interface. It’s frustrating!
This person says you just need to edit the pixel measurements in the HTML embed code: https://thecomputerladyonline.com/how-to-change-a-youtube-video-embed-code-size/
Interesting: I just tried this in Firefox, and that still shows the old UI that gives you the resize options. But in Chrome and Safari it doesn’t. That is weird.

David BlatnerKeymasterGood question! InCopy is for editors and writers. You can learn more here: https://incopysecrets.com
David BlatnerKeymasterWow… bummer! Bob just wrote to me and pointed out this page, which says that currently incopy does not support the endnotes feature:

David BlatnerKeymasterPasted images don’t show up in the Links panel. It is NOT a good practice to paste images. You can sometimes get the image out again by copying it and pasting into Photoshop. Then save from there, delete the pasted version in InDesign, and import it properly with File > Place.
