David BlatnerKeymasterInteresting question, Christine. I really don’t know how that could work. My guess is that if it is possible, it would require some special scripting in Acrobat. You might ask at pdfscripting.com
David BlatnerKeymasterFirst, see if someone else can open it. (If you want to send a small file to me to test, you can email it to me at david [at] indesignsecrets dot com.
If that doesn’t work, you might try this:
If you do, let us know how it works!
David BlatnerKeymasterGreat tip, Graham!
David BlatnerKeymasterThank you for letting me know, Tom… sometimes posts get “stuck.” I just unstuck it. Glad you have had at least partial success. Not sure why the others won’t open at all. Maybe see if someone else can open it?
David BlatnerKeymasterRandi: If you open the Creative Cloud app, does it say that InDesign is Up to Date? Or perhaps there is a newer version?
It’s also possible that the document has become corrupted, though that would be very unusual.
David BlatnerKeymasterRandi: Please check to make sure you launched the most recent version of InDesign. The error you’re describing is almost always from accidentally using an earlier version of the program (for example, you may have two versions of InDesign on your computer).
David BlatnerKeymasterTry setting the file name extension to .indd
And choose the file in the Finder, choose File > Info, and set the application to open to InDesign.
Also, try opening the file from within InDesign (using File > Open) and then if it works, do a Save As.
David BlatnerKeymasterThat, of course, is one of the main topics at PePcon (Bridging Print + Digital Publishing) at https://CreativeProWeek.com
The primary question is: How do you want to distribute it? That is, should it be an app (where someone has to install it from a store, such as the iTunes Store), or a web page that is open to everyone, or an EPUB (like a book, either reflowable or fixed layout).
David BlatnerKeymasterHere’s a video about how to print track changes:

David BlatnerKeymaster@Christian: Yes, we sell the Tables Superguide in our shop. It was a special promotion for new subscribers.
But you can get 25% off the cost of the guide with your member discount code. (When logged in, click the My Account button at the top of the page, and then click Member Benefits… or click here.)
David BlatnerKeymasterSorry to hear you didn’t get the link to the guide! The link came in a separate email. (I know our system sends 3 or 4 different emails when you sign up!)
However, I’ll just tell you that it goes to this page, which I think you can only see if you registered during this week’s campaign:
https://creativepro.com/bonus-page
David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t think rollovers will work for that. You may be able to do this with a show/hide button feature?
https://creativepro.com/showing-and-hiding-objects-in-interactive-pdf.phpBut even then, it may be tricky. Interactive PDF is not nearly as powerful as we all want. :-(
David BlatnerKeymasterI fixed the link so it shows.
Yes, I agree that this is a strange glitch. Try quitting and relaunching InDesign. Or you may need to reset your preferences, which we discuss here: https://creativepro.com/resources/faq
