David BlatnerKeymasterYes, you’d have to do that after each heading.
Feel free to suggest this as a feature at indesign.uservoice.com
David BlatnerKeymasterTricky. You could perhaps anchor a line. For example, you could find all the headings and paste an anchored line at the beginning of the paragraph. Make sure the line is set to an object style, so that it’s easy to adjust later, after being anchored.
To paste an anchored object, you would want to use the find/change “from clipboard” trick:

David BlatnerKeymasterIf you need to change the page size by a specific amount (e.g. 2mm), it’s always much easier to do it with the Control panel or the Properties panel. However, be sure to set the reference point first! That’s the icon on the far left of the control panel. That’s how you avoid gaps between the pages.
David BlatnerKeymasterI thought that if you use edit > assign profile to apply different document profiles to the InDesign document, and then convert the color swatch (e.g. cyan) from CMYK to Lab that you would get different Lab values.
But that is not happening! Changing the document CMYK profile does change the “meaning” of the CMYK color swatch (and therefore how it appears)… but somehow changing that color swatch to Lab does not reflect the profile properly.
Is this a bug? If it does not use the document profile, then what does it use for the CMYK-to-Lab conversion, I wonder.
David BlatnerKeymasterAre you trying to change the colors in a PSD? Or an AI file? Or the color swatches in an InDesign file?

David BlatnerKeymasterSorry about that, Solomon… I think something in the code forced it into our moderation queue. It’s up now.

David BlatnerKeymasterIt could depend on the type of annotations being used. Are they deletion and insertion annotations? Also, is your Preview mode on/off? (You cannot see the annotations in preview mode, I think.)

David BlatnerKeymasterLayer order is a factor in how text and images are read, but I don’t think that should matter if it’s a single text frame. I’m glad you got it working. Are you using the Articles panel to set up the tag order?

David BlatnerKeymasterHave you looked at my course “InDesign Essential Training” on LinkedIn Learning (Lynda.com)? I have a chapter in there about how to format tables, including merging cells, and so on. Diane Burns has a course there that goes into even more depth on what you can do with tables.
David BlatnerKeymasterI’m not sure, but I wonder if this would help?

David BlatnerKeymasterThank you for letting us know about this!
David BlatnerKeymasterVery strange, but I don’t know if those are actually part of InDesign, or related to InDesign. I wonder if it is some other utility you are using that is capturing data?
David BlatnerKeymasterI haven’t upgraded to Catalina yet, so I’m not sure if this works, but have you seen IdUtil from Markzware?
