Tricky. You could perhaps anchor a line. For example, you could find all the headings and paste an anchored line at the beginning of the paragraph. Make sure the line is set to an object style, so that it’s easy to adjust later, after being anchored.

I thought that if you use edit > assign profile to apply different document profiles to the InDesign document, and then convert the color swatch (e.g. cyan) from CMYK to Lab that you would get different Lab values.

But that is not happening! Changing the document CMYK profile does change the “meaning” of the CMYK color swatch (and therefore how it appears)… but somehow changing that color swatch to Lab does not reflect the profile properly.

Is this a bug? If it does not use the document profile, then what does it use for the CMYK-to-Lab conversion, I wonder.

It could depend on the type of annotations being used. Are they deletion and insertion annotations? Also, is your Preview mode on/off? (You cannot see the annotations in preview mode, I think.)
