    Dieter, thanks this did the trick although it didn’t distinguish between the lowercase & uppercase I but just changed them all and seems to have done the trick, thanks again:-)

    Thanks …I’ve just swapped one of the original photo’s for a much better quality image (7mb v 111kb) and it seems to have rectified the problem?

    The low res one was just a holding image, does that now make more sense?

    Yes, images are all correct no issues with links etc

    Thanks Caspian, I’ve checked the Transparency space and this is correct in CMYK, similarly the text is on the top layer, but still having same issue.

    I forgot to say the ID images are from another ID files where i originally created the posters, so have placed the ID image into a splash sheet with others.

    The original ID files with the individual posters are fine when i PDF those, could this be the problem?

    Thanks Barry for such a quick reply, could i just check, if i create the document in the 1st instance for screen viewing in individual pages, do i just create another version of this in ID file then amend the page set up to change to facing pages with the required margins for binding?

    Will this still retain the integrity of the original layout?
