MemberThat’s a non-breaking space, it is the same as a normal space in that font but non-breaking. Iit follows the same rules as any space in your text, you need to change the tracking or the font if you want to change the space. Otherwise look up other spaces here: Menu Type/Insert White Space. Or maybe I misunderstood.

MemberI gave it a try and buttons seem to override any hyperlink that they be on top or under the button. I tried punching a hole in the button where the link was and that did not work either. Seems like the only solution I can think of is to make multiple buttons around the link but not where the link is.

MemberIf you have illustrator, you can probably achieve this with the spiral tool, something like 4 segments and 99% or 98% decay

MemberWe have a similar intermittent problem here with our files on the server (located in a another building), we have yet to find a solution, but if we do I’ll let you know. One thing, this started happening to us when we switched from an «smb://» connection to an «afp://» one.

Memberyou might be confusing opening, importing and place, all three of these things will handle different files. For word and rtf may I suggest you use the Place function found in the file menu

MemberThanks for the information, I basically solved my situation by making a picture of the pages so that the content cannot be modified.

MemberIt’s hard to determine the nomenclature of a company, it might be regional or topic related. Here in Quebec you will see a lot of files with either EN or FR in the name, and it’s because we are a bilingual province and most files are made in both ENglish and FRançais (French). I,m guessing your best bet for an answer is to simply ask the people who sent you the file.

MemberI think you would find this over at Adobe: https://www.adobeprerelease.com/

MemberWeb sites usually uses fonts pre-installed on the viewer’s computer… to force your custom font you need it installed on your server and you have to import the font in your style-sheet, even then you can’t foresee if the user has overridden this with is browser settings. If you don’t have those symbols in too many places maybe an image might be better?

MemberI would check to see if it is actually set to a specific paragraph style and not [Basic Paragraph], also would check to make sure the destination document does not already contain a paragraph style by the same name.
