Text Wrap Trouble With Images That Span Two Columns

I am trying to put together a publication that has two columns on a page. I added an image in the top left corner and had it cover the left column and about half of the right one. The text in the right columns does not wrap to the bottom of the image as closely as the text in the right column and it is not allowing the text in both columns to align. I’ve searched help and tutorial sites but I cannot seem to find any info on this problem … maybe I am not describing it correctly but I don’t know how else to explain! This is a screenshot of it: https://shiningstarsmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Screen-Shot-2013-06-18-at-3.35.18-PM.png.

      Thanks!

Yeah, InDesign has trouble with that sometimes. You might try to make the Bottom text wrap (in the text wrap panel) set to a small negative number.

It’s similar to this, though easier to fix because this one is about circular paths:

It seems to me, hmariego, that the paragraphs in your example have varying amounts of space between them. The bottom lines of each column align yet the lines just below the graphic do not align. Since you have indented the first line of each paragraph, most style manuals would suggest that there be no space between paragraphs.

@ David Blatner … thanks for the suggestion … I did try that and can probably make it work. It’s just more labor intensive because I have to use different settings for the text on each column … the one side wraps too far and the other wraps too close!

@ Furry … I agree that it looks like there is space between the paragraphs but when I open the paragraph panel, everything is set to zero.
