I copied the cover page of an electronic bulletin to a new InDesign document, replaced the cover image and now the text, which is on nine separate layers, will not show. When I turn off the cover image, the bounding box for the text is there, but no text. If I drag the box onto the pasteboard, the text shows properly. When I drag the selection arrow through the image, all the text boxes show, but no text. This is the first time this has happened. Please help.

Sounds like a Text Wrap issue. Try these things:

Select cover image ->Window->Text Wrap (disable it or adjust)

Check Layer Options ->Suppress Text Wrap When Layer is Hidden

Select text frames->Object->Text Frame Options->Ignore Text Wrap

Colleen, thank you. It worked like a charm. I also discovered you can point to the text box and hit CTRL + B then uncheck text wrap.
